Miguel A. Bretos

Dr. Bretos is counselor to the Secretary for community affairs and special projects at the Smithsonian Institution, Washington, D.C. He holds a Ph.D. in history from Vanderbilt University and has taught at Oberlin and the University of New South Wales Sydney, Australia. He is former director of the Cuban History and Archives Project, Miami, and former Distinguished Professor at William Paterson College of New Jersey.
